Polska Grupa Farmaceutyczna Awarded in the Company Plus Technology Competition

Mobile Inkasent Application Introduced by Polska Grupa Farmaceutyczna S.A.

The Inkasent application is used by the customers of PGF S.A. to control their balances of accounts payable and unsettled invoices, and by the Company’s cash collectors, for whom it serves primarily as a tool enabling automatic issuance of cash receipts, compilation of cash receipt journals and control of cash amounts received. The implementation of Inkasent was also a great improvement for the financial staff of PGF S.A., who now have full control over the cash flows relating to settlements with customers.

The new solution relies on an online connection between a PGF’s cash collector and the Company’s accounting system, based on GPRS Omni 3600 terminals. The device makes it possible to monitor accounts due from customers on an ongoing basis, and then to identify the cash collector, in respect of every single document. It also supports recording of the received cash in the system at the time of issuing a document, and matching cash with an indicated source document, with the option to either choose specific invoices for settling or to distribute the declared payment to the oldest invoices. Furthermore, Inkasent makes it possible to automatically account for correction invoices in the settlements.

Polska Grupa Farmaceutyczna is the largest supplier of goods and services in the Polish pharmaceutical sector. Its core business in supplying pharmacies and hospitals with drugs and medical products. Currently, the Company employs several hundred cash collectors, who daily reach most pharmacies in Poland. New solutions for handling cash settlements significantly facilitate the work of all the parties involved, improve the security of trade, and supports settlements with customers in real time, that is at the very moment of receiving the money.

”Thanks to Inkasent we were able to accelerate and facilitate cash flows between the company and our customers, as well as to enhance control over the process. At the same time, we managed to make the transfer of cash shorter, as it now goes directly to the bank. Likewise, Inkasent has allowed us to reduce our financial expenses and streamline accounting procedures, and the incoming cash is now automatically ascribed to specific accounts due (invoices) at the time of its receipt from a customer, according to the customer’s instruction, which greatly improves security of the settlements,” said Anna Socha, Head of the Łódź Branch of PGF S.A.

The Company Plus Technology competition is organised by Polkomtel S.A. Its aim is to promote innovative projects in the area of telecommunications and data transmission, implemented at Polish companies. This year, the winners have been chosen from among 33 regional finalists of the competition, in which participants are awarded in three categories: integrated telecommunication systems, mobile applications and solutions related to telemetrics, monitoring and data acquisition.
